Exhibitions

Working with the Spanish Embassy, InSitu curated an in house exhibition and book launch event for a client of work by award winning documentary photographer Jordi Ruiz Cirera, winner of the prestigious Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize and the Deutsche Bank Award for Photography.

Such activities provide PR opportunities for companies to engage clients through exclusive entertaining centered around an exhibition, while at the same time enriching their working environment.

The project Menonos depicts the life and inner struggles lived in the Mennonite communities in Eastern Bolivia. Mennonites are Christian Anabaptis who arrived during the fifties from Canada, Mexico or Belize, hoping here they'd be able to preserve their lifestyle. Nowadays they live the same way their ancestors did; with no cars, telephones, electricity or modern utilities. However, the pressure of the surrounding society is creating difficulties for them to survive. This series of portraits showcases the relations and the family roles within the Mennonite community, as well as their deep isolation from contemporary society.
