The Institute of Civil Engineers
A collection of large original framed works by Magnum photographer Mark Power for the offices of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Power documented the construction of the Millennium Dome at Greenwich, an astonishing feat of engineering. He was granted privileged access to the site, first visiting the North Greenwich peninsula in 1996 and in over one hundred subsequent trips recorded its progress from toxic wasteland to architectural icon. Power’s documentary project Superstructure is a remarkable record of the Dome’s genesis and a testament to human endeavour and ambition.
