Mentoring

Specialist mentoring for artists

InSitu founder Maggie O’Regan is a fine art market professional with a specialist knowledge of photography and printmaking. Her experience includes working as a consultant for Magnum Photos and as a creative producer of the Photo London Pavilion Commission at Somerset House. Maggie is involved in curation, project-management, commissioning and the development of art strategies for a range of clients, collaborating with specialist teams, associates and partners. With an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea School of Art (UAL) she has clear insight into creative process, what motivates and what challenges artists.

Maggie is a Professional Mentor and Visiting Practitioner at UAL, working with Central Saint Martin’s, LCC, Chelsea and Wimbledon School of Art, advising students and graduates since 2015. She contributes regularly as an industry professional on cultural entrepreneurship, professional practice and portfolio reviews at institutions including the RCA, Christie's Education and The Spanish Embassy.

During 2020 she reached out to art and design graduates across the UK and internationally, providing free online mentoring sessions in response to the lack of physical degree shows during the pandemic. She connected with over 40 creatives in a two month period, working across photography, painting, sculpture, animation, illustration, contemporary media cultures, art logistics, graphic design, ceramics, mixed media, printmaking and art history.

If you are interested in a series of tailored mentor sessions, exploring how to navigate the art world, portfolio review and career advice, please email info@insitu-art.co.uk
